Onyx is our first whippet and we could not have asked for more. He is by nature a very loving and trusting fellow with everyone he meets. Loving to show with so much pizzazz and heart, and a never let down attitude in the ring. His strengths include a correct large black eye, crisp ears, lovely deep body with wonderful front fill, and a nice tidy tuck up. His gait is low and free moving, with correct coming and going.

His show career was quite respectable. Onyx was owner handled throughout his entire show career, finishing in tough California competition.

He is a Specialty BISweeps winner at the S. Cal. Whippet Assn. over an entry of 72 from the 6-9 mos class, Breeder Judge Barbara Henderson.

Shown briefly as a special, he snagged several breeds and group placements, as well as Awards of Merit at the 1998 & 2001 AWC Western Regional Specialty from the Veteran Class.

He also won BOS at the 1996 Canadian National Specialty from the Veteran class!

His puppies have his joyous outlook on life and love to show. A sire of merit, he has produced group winners, as well as Canadian multiple BIS & BISS winners.
